The Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue1122), President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & industry, , DCO Sialkot, DPO Sialkot and Chairman Disaster Management Committee Sialkot signed a Memorandum of Understanding for establishing Safer Communities through prevention of emergencies. In this regard a MOU signing ceremony was held at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industries. The MOU was signed by Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & industry, District Administration, Police and other institutions with a commitment to work together with Rescue 1122 to make Sialkot the Safest City of Pakistan. The Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & industry Muhammad Ishaq Butt, EDO Revenue Tariq Zaman Khan, DPO Sialkot Waqar Ahmed Chohan, Chairman Disaster Management Committee Sialkot Zohaib Rafiq Sethi, Chief Project Coordinator Khawar Anwar Khawaja, District Rescue Warden Jamil Janjua, President Central Union of Tradrers Mehr Gulam Mujtasba and Chacha Cricket participated in the meeting alongwith other members of SCCI & the citizens of Sialkot. Addressing the ceremony Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer said that Social Change is not possible without the participation of Civil Society, Therefore after establishing a Comprehensive Emergency Response System in the Province. Now the Service has started to work for the Prevention of emergencies with the participation of citizens so that safer communities can be established. Dr Rizwan Naseer informed that a Safer Sialkot will be established by making Safe Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Roads, Residential & Commercial buildings. President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & industry Muhammad Ishaq Butt said that Sialkot has always initiated projects with public participation like Sialkot International Airport in past and SCCI is also commited to make Sialkot the safest city of Pakistan, every citizen in Sialkot stands with Rescue 1122. In this regard over 500 volunteers have already completed their training from Rescue 1122, he further added. District Emergency Officer Sialkot Kamal Abid assured that the Service is always there for the help of citizens.
