Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Director General, Dr. Rizwan Naseer reviewed the data of emergencies and rescue operations for the first three months of 2010, which shows that the Service has rescued 60196 emergency victims as compared to 46363 of first three month of 2009. Data reveals that the Service has conducted 60972 rescue operations in first three months of 2010 in comparison with 40996 rescue operations during first three months of 2009 in all major cities of the Punjab. Regardless of increase in number of emergencies the Service has maintained its average record response time of less than 7 minutes and provided citizens with a sense of safety. The Service is operational in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Murree, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Muzafargarh, Rajanpur, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Kasur, Gujrat, Bahawalnagar, Jehlum, Attock and Khanewal .The total number of emergency victims rescued by Rescue 1122 were 60196 in first three months of 2010, which include 11556 in Lahore, 6483 in Faisalabad, 2542 in Rawalpindi, 6694 in Multan, 3175 in Bahawalpur, 3233 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 2825 in Rahim Yar Khan, 2550 in Sialkot, 5337 in Gujranwala, 2120 in Sargodha, 679 in Murree, 2099 in Sahiwal, 1824 in Jhang, 776 in Toba Tek Singh, 1404 in Muzafargarh, 903 In Rajanpur, 453 in Mianwali, 1081 in Pakpattan, 580 In Kasur, 669 in Gujrat, 993 in Bahawalnagar, 503 in Jehlum, 993 in Attock and 724 Khanewal.
