Rescue1122 shall participate in next International Fire Fit Championship, this was stated by the Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue1122) Dr. Rizwan Naseer on his return after attending the first “International Fire Fit Championship” held in UAE.  This championship was organized by “” in collaboration with Fire Fit of Canada. This was the first International Fire Fitness challenge in the region which will help to create healthy competition amongst fire Services to demonstrate their fitness and professional skills. Fire services including different states of UAE, and participated in the championship with the purpose to present their professional competencies. It may further added that Rescue 1122 have already organized 1^st National Rescue Challenge in October, 2009 at Emergency Services Academy, Lahore with the purpose to enhance the professional standards and competencies of the Emergency Services of Pakistan to meet new emerging challenges in management of emergencies. So that the capacity building of the other provinces could also be improved.  Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that the selection of the team of Pakistan, which shall participate in next International Fire Fit championship would be done on the basis of results of the Second National Rescue challenge due to be held in October, 2010. Participation in such events shall help to ensure the international standards of the Service in , he further added.
