Rescue 1122 on Emergency Alert during Eid days

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Director General, Dr. Rizwan Naseer held an Emergency Preparedness meeting to review the emergency arrangements during Eid days in all major cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, D.G Khan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal, Gujranwala , Sialkot, Sargodha and  Murree. In this regard emergency vehicles shall be deputed at all Eid prayers sites and sensitive areas along with trained emergency staff to provide immediate pre-hospital emergency cover if needed. Emergency Officers including trained doctors shall supervise the arrangements during Eid days. The leaves of the rescuers have been restricted in these cities and they have been assigned special emergency duties to effectively cover large Eid prayer gatherings and to provide the emergency medical, rescue and fire fighting services to citizens during Eid holidays. ­In Lahore rescue staff shall remain on special duties in district control room, emergency rescue stations, 30 equipped emergency ambulances, 15 fire vehicles and 6 special rescue vehicles. Special mobile posts shall also be established for effectively providing medical cover to the public gatherings. Rescue posts shall be established at Central station, Siddique trade centre, Model Town More, Fortress Stadium, Niaz Baig Station, Shoukat Khanam Chowk, Walton Station, Mughalpura Chowk, Mughalpura Station, Chuburgi Chowk, GPO Chowk, Batti Chowk, Azadi Chowk, Sadar Around About, Akbar Chowk, Wapda House, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Township Station, Data Darbar, Shahdara Station, Moon market, Liberty, Punjab Assembly, Ghari Shahu Chowk, LOS Station, Town Hall, Jamia Ashrafia, Qaddafi Stadium, Main Gate Aitchison College, Lala Zar Park, Mansoora, Walton Academy Ground, Shalimar Chowk, Bilal Park Masjid, Mian Meer Darbar, Minhag-ul-Quran, Masjid Noor-ul-Islam, Out fall road, Masjid Chowk Defense and Masjid Khizar Mall Road. The Director General wished all the citizens a Happy Eid Mubarak and advised citizens to dial 1122 in case of emergency. Only timely call can ensure timely rescue, he added.
